Dear Reader,

It's the end of QM week 2. There's only one week left! It feels like so much is happening in the world and in our business that I sort of feel dizzy.

We've been working on a few things in the background, and I'll be sharing one of those things with you next week! It's a tiny taste of a bigger project, but you'll have to keep it secret because we're not ready to share it with the world yet! You'll even get samples of what we're working on. Are you curious yet? Good. But no hints. All (or rather some) will be revealed early next week.

Have you completed the Cross Word Puzzle yet? If no, the coupons are only valid until the 22nd of March.

Ok, now that we've covered all that, it's time to dive in!

In this issue, you'll find:

  1. Free Shipping to Celebrate National Quilting Day
  2. How To Make Hand Embroidered Quilt Labels
  3. Upcoming: an update on our next Quilt Kit, plus a new in-person event!
  4. Quilt Questions: Batting
  5. Free Embroidery Template

What's Happening Now: Quilting Month

In celebration of National Quilting Day (which is tomorrow!) we're offering FREE shipping when you spend $50 CAD or more! It starts now and ends at 11:59 PM EST on the 15th of March. Excludes shipping rates over $25 CAD.

Quilting Questions: This One's About Batting

Q: Which is the most popular quilt batting for a bed quilt that will be used constantly, and why? -Linda

A: Great question, Linda. For everyday quilts that will be washed and loved, we recommend an 80/20, or 80% cotton and 20% polyester batting. This is the most common batting. The addition of polyester means the batting is less prone to shrinkage, and it's more durable than just plain cotton, but it's still able to drape nicely.

Do you have a question you'd like answered in the next issue of the Quilt Chronicles? Simply reply to this email with your question!

Embroidery Template

I made this viney little frame for use in making quilt labels!

This template is a great accompaniment to the previously mentioned tutorial!

I hope you've enjoyed this issue. Thanks for reading! I hope you have the most fabulous weekend!
